Dr. Ian Perry is a sport psychology consultant and clinical counsellor who specializes in helping high performers thrive in sports, work, and life.

Ian has a wealth of experience in high-performance sports, predominantly in professional, collegiate, and elite youth settings. This includes the past seven years at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and Team Canada. Some recent highlights of his practice have been helping athletes attain top 10 selections in the NBA draft, Champions League MVP, and U-Sport National Champions.

Ian applies a multimodal and evidenced-based approach to properly assess an individual’s needs and create personalized intervention strategies. This approach is built on the foundational principles of sport and performance psychology. More importantly, he is a strong relationship builder and prides himself on the lasting relationships he has created with athletes and coaches.

Ian has a Master’s and Doctorate in Sport & Performance Psychology and is a certified mental performance consultant in both Canada and the USA. He is also a registered clinical counsellor in British Columbia. Before working in sport psychology, Ian was an athlete and coach at the University of British Columbia, Team BC, and Team Canada.
